Austin Letcher from Sanford Research joined Rotary North on September 28th to share how Sanford is helping to set up a global data base that coordinates all rare diseases so that research can be carried out and shared.  Over 7,000 diseases are considered to be rare and the highest percentage of those affected are children.  Sanford makes this data base free for all that are researching diseases in an effort to make the greatest impact on finding cures as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
